The New Mexico Credentialing Board for Behavioral Health Professionals understands the rapidly changing character and increasing complexity of our society demands professionals maintain competency by continuously updating their professional knowledge and skills. To that end, the NMCBBHP requires all certified individuals to participate in annual ongoing educational events.
Certified professionals are required to submit verification that they have completed the specified number of continuing education units (CEUs) required to maintain certification (each certification level requires a specified type of CEUs annually). The NMCBBHP manages a certified population of over 250 professionals in addiction, prevention and peer recovery. In keeping with that, we’ve implemented a system to ensure that only qualified educational providers are approved to offer CEUs that reflect professional education standards and current, relevant and accurate course content. NMCBBHP-approved providers are charged with the responsibility of conducting educational events that reflect current needs in the field and are keeping with NMCBBHP-published policies and procedures, as described herein.
If you are interested in becoming a recognized training CE provider with New Mexico Credentialing Board for Behavioral Health Professionals (NMCBBHP), review the NMCBBHP Standards and Guidelines to understand the requirements Submit your CE Provider application and fee for review to NMCBBHP or email the form to info@nmcbbhp.org and make your payment online.
The CE provider applications have been revised as of July 10, 2020. New providers applying must review the CE Standards & Guidelines before submitting an application. The application must include the following: provider history, instructor qualifications, trainer bios, and the name of courses to be offered along with the payment. All current providers must review the revised CE Standards & Guidelines prior to submitting the NEW Training Notification Form.
The fee to apply to become a CEU provider is $200. This fee must be paid prior to processing the initial and renewal application. Fee may be paid via Paypal or by check.
